As part of our ongoing effort to create great experiences for both youth athletes and their families, we are excited to announce our new membership dues subscription system! Moving forward, parents will no longer have to manually submit monthly program dues to Magic Elite via Venmo. Instead, parents can set up a recurring subscription via PayPal that will automatically deduct their program dues each month on the same day.
Here’s how it works:
- Magic Elite will send families email and text payment reminders starting on the 15th each month (unless you have already set up your recurring subscription via PayPal) to procure their spot for the following month’s Rookie Academy, Development Academy, or Academy Teams.
- Click into those links and follow the instructions provided by PayPal. You can either sign into PayPal if you have an account or select “Guest Checkout”.
- Follow the instructions provided by PayPal to set up your subscription and submit the first month’s payment.
That’s it! You will receive an email from PayPal shortly after confirming your payment and the establishment of your subscription profile.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I pause or cancel my subscription?
If you would like to pause or cancel your subscription, please let us know by email us at email@example.com. Please keep in mind that if subscriptions are paused or cancelled, your athlete(s) will be moved to our registration waitlist, in which case there is no guarantee of program availability if you would like to active your subscription again in the future.
If I have more than one athlete in Magic Elite Basketball Academy, do I have to set up multiple subscriptions?
For the time being, yes. We will send you payment reminders for both of your athletes and you will need to complete the subscription process for each of them. For example, if you have an athlete enrolled in our Rookie Academy and another in our Development Academy, you will need to set up separate subscriptions for each.
Our system will send you player-specific reminders for payment, meaning if you have two athletes (for example) in Magic Elite Basketball Academy and you only set up a subscription for one of them, you will receive additional reminders to set up a subscription for your other athlete as well.
Do you offer discounts for multiple athletes?
If you are interested in discounts for 2 or more athletes, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Do I have to use PayPal, or can I still pay manually via Venmo, check, or cash?
Starting in June 2021, we will only support payments via PayPal.
